Hence, we have established a comprehensive returns, exchanges, and refunds policy that aligns with Malaysian laws. It is essential to go through these guidelines carefully.

Eligibility

  • This policy applies to all new and pre-owned smartphones, accessories such as power banks, chargers, and screen protectors, and other electronic gadgets bought from KC Gadget.
  • Please note that consumable items, such as batteries, and personalized/customized products are exempt from this policy.

Returns and Exchanges

Defective or Damaged Products

  • If a customer receives any defective or damaged product, it must be reported to us within three days of delivery. Our customer service team will guide you through the return process. Either a replacement can be provided or a refund for the purchase amount can be issued upon return. Return items need to have their original packaging and all included accessories.

Change of Mind

  • A return in case of a change of mind can be made within three days of purchase.
  • The product must remain unused and in its original state.
  • All product accessories should be intact.
  • A restocking fee of 10% may apply to such returns.

Product Exchange

  • Customers can request an exchange within three days of delivery. The item should remain in its original condition and include all the accessories.
  • If the exchange item’s price is higher than that of the original item, the customer is responsible for paying the price difference.
  • However, if the exchange item’s price is lower than that of the original item, no refund will be issued.
  • Any price differences will be duly addressed. Please note that exchanges are only allowed once. If the initial replacement product is still not satisfactory, the next step will be a refund.
  • If any differences arise due to our error, KC Gadget will cover the associated shipping fees. Otherwise, the customer will be responsible for these costs.

Refunds

The Product is Received Damaged

  • The customer should notify our team without delay. Depending on the customer’s preference, a replacement or refund for the purchase amount can be issued once we facilitate the return of the damaged product.

The Wrong Product is Sent

  • Communicating with our customer service team is crucial. We will coordinate the return and depending on the customer’s decision, the correct product can be sent, or a refund of the purchase amount can be issued.

To Facilitate a Refund

  • Customers need to contact our customer service team. The procedure typically spans 7-14 business days, subject to your bank’s processing times.
  • Refunds are conducted via the original payment method.

Process of Returning

Initiating a Return

  • To initiate a return, customers should contact our customer service team either by email at hq@kcgadget.com or by WhatsApp at +60 11 55589822. Our representatives will guide the return process and issue a return airway bill.

Packaging the Item

  • Once the airway bill is received, customers should carefully package the item in its original packaging, ensuring that all accessories are included.

Shipping the Item

  • Customers are responsible for shipping the returned item back to KC Gadget. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance to ensure the safe return of the item. Please address the package to:

Confirmation of Return

  • Once the returned item is received and inspected by our team, we will notify the customer of the status of their return and proceed with the appropriate action (replacement or refund).

Exceptions

  • Certain items, such as consumable products (e.g., batteries, earphones), do not qualify for return. The same applies to personalized or customized items.

Warranties

  • Preowned devices are offered with a limited warranty, the duration of which varies based on the specific device. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, and further terms can be found in the warranty card provided with your device.

Fraudulent Orders

  • To protect our interests and our customers, orders found to be fraudulent or suspicious may be cancelled and refunded at our discretion.

Revised Policy for Misdelivery

  • For cases of misdelivery, where the customer receives a product that was not ordered, the company will strive to collect and replace the product as quickly as possible, with minimal inconvenience to the customer.

Late or Missing Refunds

  • If you haven’t received a refund yet, check your bank account again. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
